Protein Birthday Cake (yep an actual cake!)

Our Birthday Cake Pancake mix is so popular it sells out in record time whenever it's released but today I'm taking it one step further and giving you the most delicious cake recipe to make with this popular mix. Just in time for Mclain's birthday!
It's moist and has the perfect balance of sweetness. I promise you, you'll never celebrate a Birthday the same way! Stock up on this mix while it's here.
2 cups HelloAmino Birthday Cake Pancake/Waffle mix
1/4 cup white sugar
1/3 cup milk, room temp (Fairlife 2% is a great choice)
1/2 cup sour cream, room temp (I used lactose free)
1 large whole egg, room temp
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 stick (57g) butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350
Mix together milk, sour cream, egg and vanilla until combined then slowly stir in the melted butter. In a separate bowl combine the sugar and pancake mix then add into the wet mixture and stir until fully combined.
Pour into a 8x8 greased cake pan and bake for 22-24 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and it's lightly golden.
Let cool at least 10-15 minutes before removing from cake pan.

We LOVE the maple pancakes. They are SO good, I’d never guess that they are protein/healthy pancakes. The added bonus is they are so good that my sons make them by themselves for breakfast, win-win!
