Yummmm!!

This was my first time trying the scone mix…and it is so lovely!! I
I added 3/4 cup of frozen wild blueberries and the zest of one lemon to the mix. I brushed the tops with milk and lemon zest and sprinkled lightly with sugar…they are divine!!

One hack I learned from a guru pastry baker friend is to grate cold butter using a cheese grater and put it in the freezer for 15 minutes before using rather than trying to ‘get the pea sized dry mixture just right’. I’ve been doing this with biscuit and scone recipes for years and it always results in a nice flaky buttery baked product!

Sweet Scone

I was expecting more of a savoury scone but this is delicious to pair with yogurt and fruit and you could make a shortcake desert. Make sure you read the instructions as these are not your Mothers scones.

Incredible!

These scones are so delicious and an absolutely fabulous way to get my protein in while also satisfying my cravings for something just sweet enough. I was going to add some extras but after making a batch as is, I don’t need to! I truly hope these become a regular product!
